Description
This is a traditional local drink from Crete dating back to the old times. It is used as a cure-all health drink and as an aphrodisiac, too. In south Crete the midwives gave the new-born babies their first bath in an infusion of the 40-herbs to introduce them to the scents of Mother Earth. It contains of 40 aromatic and therapeutic herbs like: Mountain tea, dittany, sage, thyme, camomile, hibiscus, plantain, lemon, jasmine, dandelion, marjoram etc. It is a very tasty tea. Enjoy it as a morning- or afternoon-drink serving with or without honey.
